Perth Choral Society are pleased to be joined by acclaimed pianist Alasdair Beatson, who will be returning to his home city, to play Beethoven’s wonderful Choral Fantasia. The concert also features Beethoven’s evocative Calm Sea and Prosperous Voyage, his beautiful Elegiac Song and Opferlied plus the Hallelujah chorus from his oratorio Christ on the Mount of Olives. The concert will conclude with the famous Ode to Joy from Beethoven’s Choral Symphony with four soloists and full symphony orchestra.
