Drawing from Rachel Flynn's experience in the River City story room, you will pitch, shape and decide the stories of the day. This is a practical workshop for honing your story instincts and sharpening your collaborative skills and creative problem solving. Scottish actor-turned-writer Rachel made a lockdown pivot and blagged her way onto the MLitt Playwrighting & Screenwriting Course at St Andrews University. She went on to spend 10 months as a Storyliner at BBC River City and is now a writer for the show. Her debut feature A European Christmas was acquired by Studio TF1 and her second TV movie thriller is in post production. Her short film 16 won Best Debut at the BIFA-qualifying Sunderland Short Film Festival. Her TV pilot Cabin Pressure was named ‘Pick of the Pilots’ at the inaugural Glasgow Telly Festival. In theatre, her debut play Being Liza earned five-star reviews at the Edinburgh Fringe. She has written sell-out comedy Keepin’ The Heid for A Play, A Pie & A Pint and The Magdalene for Malta’s Theatre Chameleon, as well as multiple other theatre companies. Free/£10
