Returning to Chemikal Underground, the label she formed with her former bandmates, for her next solo outing The Law of Large Numbers in 2010, Emma picked up more plaudits for her unique brand of lavishly lyrical songwriting and In Search of Harperfield was released to universal acclaim in 2016 and shortlisted for the SAY Award. Her forthcoming album, Begging The Night To Take Hold is her most autobiographical and intimate to date. Emma will be joined on tour by Pete Harvey on cello and Graeme Smillie on piano and bass, who both feature prominently on the record. This will be Emma’s first ever solo gig in Perth, her place of birth, and her first appearance here since she stole the show with an absolute standout performance in our Scotland Sings Bacharach concert last year.
