Christopher has worked in arts programming, fundraising, marketing and strategic development for the past 15 years. He joined Perth Theatre and Concert Hall in 2021 and has served as Director since 2023, leading the artistic vision and delivery across both world-class venues, as well as touring projects regionally and nationally. He previously held various positions at Cryptic, the Scottish Music Centre and Cheltenham Music Festival and is a Trustee of Drake Music Scotland and PLUS Perth & Kinross, a member of The Grey Hill’s Creative Catalyst Advisory Board and sits on the industry review panel for the Royal Conservatoire of Scotland’s MA Arts Leadership & Fundraising and MA Creative Arts Practice.
Results-driven and with demonstrable success across artist and audience development, he is particularly passionate about harnessing data and emerging technologies to drive engagement with new work. Previous projects and partnerships include Apple, The Arches, Arts & Humanities Research Council, Bang On A Can, Chamber Music Scotland, European Music Forum, Glasgow’s Concert Halls, Google, IMPACT Senegal, Inner Ear, International Music Council, Live Music Now, Nonclassical, Perthshire Box Office and the University of Edinburgh Business School.
Christopher is a member of the International Society of the Performing Arts, was a Scottish Government Digital Champion (2020) and Vice Chair of the European Music Council Youth Committee (2013-15). Recognitions include SCVO Digital Difference Commendation (2024), Scotland Prestige Award (2022), and Clear Channel & Campaign Magazine Outdoor Media Award (2021).
