Setting the scene for leisurely lunching with a spotlight on fresh, locally sourced ingredients, Perth Theatre Café is a bright and inviting eating space at the heart of our restored and redeveloped Theatre.  

Located in the conservatory and upper levels of the Theatre, there are nods to the building’s illustrious past, present and future wherever you look; from the original walls enclosing the Victorian auditorium, historic memorabilia, and artefacts, to the vivid displays of current and upcoming shows. You may even find yourself rubbing shoulders with performers as they take a break from rehearsals and sound checks!  

We offer a scrumptious selection of liberally filled sandwiches and wraps, and hearty soups. There’s a mouthwatering array of bakes from Hazelnuts Catering to tempt and tantalise even the most discerning of palates, with barista coffees and a selection of teas, soft drinks, and alcoholic beverages to wash it down.  

Come and linger over coffee and cake, make a date with friends, or enjoy pre-show drinks, and our warm and friendly team will make sure that you and your guests always take centre stage. 

The atmospheric Perth Concert Hall foyer comes into its own at performance times, when audiences meet and mingle at our busy bars for pre-show drinks and interval refreshments.  

A cosy café by day and a warmly welcoming bar area by night, Perth Theatre complements its comprehensive drinks offer with an appetising assortment of bar snacks. 

As part of our commitment to reducing our environmental impacts, we are removing single-use plastics from our venues.

Our bars and cafés are now operating with reusable plastic cups. These are much kinder on the planet and nicer for you to look at and drink from too!

Pay a £1 deposit per drink for your reusable cup

Enjoy the show!

Once you’re finished, decide to either -

Donate your cup: place your cup in the identified bins and your £1 will go towards supporting our community projects and green initiatives.

Keep your cup and bring it back at your next show: we’ll replace it with a fresh one!

Return your cup to a till point: and reclaim your £1 deposit (cash only, maximum 6 cups per person).

How ditching single-use quickly adds up...

• It is estimated that at least 80 million single-use cups are used across UK venues each year;
• Reusable cups have a lower environmental impact than single-use cups when they are used more than 3 times;
• When used 75 times, reusable cups create 87% less emissions than 75 single-use cups.

Oat cakes, selection of charcuterie - chorizo, prosciutto, salami and kielbasa sausage, selection of cheeses - Wookey Hole cheddar, Red Devil and Brie de Meaux, served with fruit, olives, hummus and caramelised onion chutney.

You can purchase your Boxes while booking your tickets for any Perth Theatre Season Subscription show. If you don’t book your Boxes during the checkout process, you can still reserve them by calling Box Office on 01738 621031 at any time before 12:00 the day before your performance.

When you book your Boxes, we will reserve a table for you in the Perth Theatre Cafe for an hour before your performance starts.

You can pre-order your interval drinks to avoid queueing at our bars on arrival!

Use the QR code that will be included in your pre-show email to order in advance or scan on arrival at the venue from one of the signs on display around the foyer.

Please make sure to select the correct date, time and venue for your show.

Drinks will be available for collection at the counter on the left side of the main staircase in Perth Concert Hall and at the Perth Theatre bar. To help you identify your order, your email address will be displayed on the accompanying receipt.

Interval drinks can also be pre-ordered directly at the bar before the performance. In these instances, you will receive an order number to use on collection.
