Launched in 2024, The Creative Hub is a members network for creative freelancers living in Scotland and working within theatre and media. This can include, but is not limited to, disciplines and professions such as actors, writers, directors, and producers.
Based out of Perth Theatre and created in partnership with Lisa Nicoll Productions, the Hub aims to offer career development support, whilst also boosting the wellbeing of members through opportunities to socialise and peer support. Lisa brings an in-depth understanding of both the practical and emotional challenges faced in forging a freelance career and is the mastermind behind shaping a programme of events that blends both implementable learnings on areas like sourcing funding, to less tangible - but no less important - focuses on finding inspiration and motivation, so that Members leave uplifted after every meeting.
Members can access a calendar of exclusive events and a range of additional benefits, all designed to motivate, support, mentor and guide participants through their career journeys. Events focused on skills and career development can include workshops and talks from industry professionals, panel sessions, regular networking opportunities, research and development support, and one-to-one advice sessions. Events and benefits that focus on encouraging social connection and wellbeing include access to a monthly podcast, health and wellness orientated talks, group theatre visits, and lunches and other social occasions.
