Perth Theatre is offering young people aged 14 – 19 the chance to audition for the upcoming Perth Youth Theatre (PYT) production of The Addams Family Musical.
Open to all young people aged between 14 and 19 on Saturday 30 August 2025, auditions are being held at Perth Theatre on Saturday 30 August.
The Theatre is running an Open Day on Saturday 23 August for anyone interested in being a part of the cast to sing songs, gain an overview of the show and pick up audition tips.
A comical feast that embraces the wackiness in every family, The Addams Family Musical features an original story and it’s every father’s nightmare: Wednesday Addams, the ultimate princess of darkness, has grown up and fallen in love with a sweet, smart young man from a respectable family – a man her parents have never met. And if that wasn’t upsetting enough, Wednesday confides in her father and begs him not to tell her mother. Now, Gomez Addams must do something he’s never done before – keep a secret from his beloved wife, Morticia. Everything will change for the whole family on the fateful night they host a dinner for Wednesday’s “normal” boyfriend and his parents.
The show which runs in Perth Theatre from Wednesday 18 to Saturday 21 February is an opportunity for young people with an interest in musical theatre to work with a professional creative team of Director, Musical Director, Designer and Choreographer and the wider Perth Theatre team on a full-scale production. Rehearsals run from September to February.

Anyone who is interested in auditioning but cannot make the Open Day or the audition day can still apply to audition by contacting the team on the above email address.

There is a £210 cost to take part, although those with financial barriers will be able to apply for one of a limited number of bursary places.
