Before it has even opened, Perth Theatre’s pantomime Aladdin has already outsold every other panto in the venue’s history, including last year’s record-breaking Jack And The Beanstalk!

And now, the Theatre is urging anyone who wants to enjoy Perth’s favourite family festive tradition to book soon to avoid disappointment.

Tickets have flown out the door with many peak performances sold out, but there is still availability for some shows with best availability between Wednesday 27 and Sunday 31 December inclusive, with some seats also available for certain early and mid-run dates.

Commenting on another record-breaking year for what is widely recognised as one of the best pantos in the land, Director of Perth Theatre and Concert Hall, Christopher Glasgow said:

“Perth Theatre pantomime has been an essential part of Christmas in the Fair City for many years, with the tradition being passed through the generations to become firmly embedded in our seasonal celebrations. We are so pleased that our audiences choose to come back year after year, particularly this season, with the ongoing cost-of-living crisis and the financial pressures people are under. Panto is a real team effort, with everyone in the organisation from the cast and creatives to technical and production staff, Ticketing, Marketing, Operations and Visitor Experience, playing an important role in its successful delivery and the warm welcome that audiences experience in our venue. The team have created another fun-packed show, and we are incredibly excited to see audiences of all ages enjoying what is the epitome of Perth Theatre’s commitment to our communities.”

The fresh spin on the tale is written and directed by Barrie Hunter, who also stars as Widow Margarita McTwankie. Tiger Mitchell is Aladdin, Helen Logan plays Abigail McKrankie, Ewan Somers is Hank E McTwankie, Rachel Flynn is Heather Moore and Kirsty Malone is Jeannie McSwankie. They are joined by Lewis Kerr and Ava Hickey and an all-singing, all-dancing cast chosen from the local community.
