Perth Theatre’s Jack and the Beanstalk has outsold all previous Perth pantos before it finishes its run.

On Monday 19 December Jack and the Beanstalk became Perth Theatre’s bestselling panto, having sold 13% more tickets than the previous bestselling pantomime – 2021’s Cinderella. And with several more performances to go before it finishes its run on Saturday 31 December, the only way is up for this year’s family festive treat.

Confirmed as ‘a joyous fixture of the seasonal landscape’ in The Times 4-star review which also described Perth panto dame, writer and director Barrie Hunter as ‘one of the great Scottish pantomime dames’, Jack and the Beanstalk has captured the imagination across the board as Chief Executive Nick Williams explained:

“With its traditional panto elements, immensely talented cast and compelling storyline, not to mention our panto cow and fabulous community company, Jack and the Beanstalk has really captured the imagination. The feedback we’ve had from audiences and critics alike has been overwhelmingly positive. Coming, as it does, in the middle of such challenging times, we are particularly grateful to everyone who has chosen to come and see the show. Panto has been an essential part of a Perth family Christmas for generations, and it is heart-warming to see people of all ages coming through our doors to enjoy a couple of hours of pure joy and magic at this special time of year.”

Final tickets are available for performances after Christmas, until the run ends on 31 December. For tickets and info for Jack and the Beanstalk click here or visit or call Perth Theatre Box Office on 01738 621031 Monday to Saturday 10am to 4pm.
