Perthshire Society of Natural Science is one of the oldest Scientific Societies in Scotland and encourages interest in the natural World by means of lectures, meetings and field outings

The theme of the Curious Minds lecture series is "Contemporary Science in Scotland" and, over the past 7 seasons, speakers have covered a stimulating array of scientific topics from dinosaur fossils in Skye, through the human genome to black holes, gravitational waves and the science of consciousness..

For the current season the Society has assembled their usual mix of superb speakers covering a wide range of topics – from the long-ago Neolithic past in Orkney to accents and dialects in contemporary Scotland. Along the way they will touch on a wide range of topics, such as the parallels between theology and physics, marine noise, killer fungi and the secret lives of galaxies.

The talks will be held in the Soutar Theatre, AK Bell Library, Perth starting at 7:30pm.

Tickets for each of the live talks are £3.50 for PSNS members and £7 for non members.
PSNS members can purchase a season ticket for all 12 talks at a reduced price of £36!
