Beethoven’s F major romance is a miniature sketch for his then soon to be composed violin concerto. Saint-Saëns’s music is always charming and melodic, and with Brahm’s beautiful final violin sonata to finish this programme, it's a perfect showcase for Scottish virtuoso Emma Baird.
