Take a walk into Big Tree Country and tune into the stories the landscape holds.
Murmurations is a theatrical tour into Big Tree Country you’ll never forget. Meet the birdwatchers whose marriage is under strain from work or the lack of it, a woman come to mourn the mother she never understood, the young guy torn between love of his community and making a living, the property developer here to make a killing, and the activist whose memory still haunts the peace - even your guide has a story to tell.
Through live scenes and songs, poetry and physical theatre, comedy and tragedy, Murmurations explores what we need from nature and what nature needs from us.
Specially redeveloped for locals and visitors to Perth and Kinross to celebrate and explore the people, the area’s rich landscape, wildlife and species and the threats they are under.

This is a 40-minute walk over uneven, gravelly pathway - accessible to motorised wheelchairs & prams/buggies. There are some places to stop along the route.
Scripts can be sent in advance and copies will be available on site including easy read full script and easy read synopsis.
Dogs welcome.
Please be prepared for adverse weather.

Meet outside Dunkeld & Birnam Community Archive, 12 The Cross, Dunkeld, PH8 0AN (what3words drip.sailor.momentous). Please try to be there at least 10 minutes before your show start time.
Bus from Perth Theatre
Buses from Perth Theatre will depart approximately 40 minutes prior to your show start time (9:50, 11:50, 13:50) and arrive back at the Theatre 40 minutes after your visit finish time (12:10, 14:10, 16:10).
