Write That Down Theatre (WTD) are excited to be hosting their debut scratch night, Solitary Figures, at Perth Theatre.
Come along for an evening full of entertainment showcasing a variety of new writing including short scenes, monologues, poems, and everything in between. These short pieces will all explore themes of loneliness and human connection. This night provides emerging artists with the opportunity to share their work, ideas and creative talents in front of a live audience. The pieces will be at different stages in their development so they will not be fully polished performances, but that is all part of the journey.
WTD’s mission is to give people the opportunity to get their writing up on its feet and see their work from a new perspective. Writing can be a lonely process, so this evening is designed to encourage and support artists at this stage as well as provide audiences with special access to up-and-coming artists. There will be time for mingling and notecards will be handed out at the end of the night for any writers who wish to receive feedback on their projects.
