Iain MacPherson was first elected to Perth and Kinross Council in 2022 and appointed to the Horsecross Board in June 2022. He is one of the Perth and Kinross Council nominated trustees.
As an elected councillor Iain represents Perth City South, and sits on the following committees; Learning and Families; Housing and Social Wellbeing; Licencing; Licencing Board; and Audit and Risk.
Iain as a particular interest in matters regarding education, social care, services to children and families and mental health.
Prior to retirement Iain worked in teaching, youth work, social work and counselling.
