The Consone Quartet are much loved regular visitors to Perth Concert Hall. As well as a composer, Czerny was a virtuoso pianist who premiered Beethoven’s first piano concerto. Mendlessohn’s quartets are much underrated and are every bit as romantically charming as those of Brahms and Schumann.
