NYCOS 30th Anniversary: Carmina Burana

To celebrate its 30th anniversary, the National Youth Choir of Scotland returns to Carl Orff’s iconic Carmina Burana. This exhilarating cantata, famous for its dramatic opening O Fortuna, sets 24 medieval poems alive with rhythm, colour and vivid storytelling.

The programme also includes the world premiere of The World by Jay Capperauld, with text by Robert Louis Stevenson, and Jonathan Dove’s The Passing of the Year.

Conducted by Christopher Bell, 110 of Scotland’s finest young singers perform with two pianos and percussion in a powerful celebration of NYCOS’s past, present and future.
