Perth Theatre and Concert Hall is seeking an accomplished, delivery-focused Head of Technical Services to lead the technical delivery of its programme at a pivotal moment in the organisation’s development.
This senior role plays a key part in ensuring the successful realisation of a diverse programme across both venues, supporting artistic ambition, operational efficiency and commercial performance. It is responsible for the planning, resourcing and delivery of all technical activity, spanning in-house productions, co-productions, touring work, live music and commercial events.
Reporting to the Director of Commercial Operations, the Head of Technical Services will lead the Technical team, ensuring that all activity is delivered safely, efficiently and to a consistently high standard. The role includes responsibility for technical planning, staffing, budgeting, and the effective maintenance and development of technical infrastructure aligned to organisational priorities.
The post-holder will collaborate closely with colleagues across Producing, Operations, Commercial and Facilities, and will maintain strong working relationships with visiting companies, artists, promoters, contractors and stakeholders. They will also play a key role in embedding safe systems of work and fostering a proactive Health & Safety culture.
The successful candidate will bring experience in a senior technical role within a producing and/or receiving venue, with a proven ability to deliver across a varied programme. They will demonstrate strong leadership, sound judgement and commercial awareness, alongside excellent organisational and communication skills.
39 hours per week (annualised)
Salary: Negotiable, dependent on experience, but no less than £45,000 per annum
