Rachel Joyce with Olga Wojtas
Rachel Joyce’s first novel, The Unlikely Pilgrimage of Harold Fry, established her reputation as a novelist of the first rank. Described as ‘the queen of quests and pilgrimages’, Miss Benson’s Beetle not only inspired BOOKMARK to run an annual Book of the Year Award but was its first winner. Rachel Joyce is a playwright as well as an actor and writer of 6 novels. Harold Fry has now made it to the big screen (Strathmore Screen is showing this in Blairgowrie in September) and inspired two sequels making this part of an unforgettable trilogy.
Winner of 2023 BOOKMARK Book of the Year will be announced by Rachel Joyce.
